Club Meetings and Events

Club Meetings

Our club meets twice a month, in the Newbury Street Hall, in addition to monthly fishing evenings over summer.

The first Wednesday of the month is fly tying night at 7.00 pm. Here you will learn to tie a wide variety of fly patterns that will entice the fish onto your hook. You won't need to bring any fly tying equipment with you, our members are more than willing to pass on their skills and demonstrate to you the techniques of this fascinating and rewarding hobby. This is a great evening to meet and talk fishing with other club members.

During the summer months the second Wednesday of the month will be spent on the river angling; A great opportunity to learning and watching and try different techniques. Meet at 6:15 pm in the car park just North of Roxburgh Crescent on Ruahine Street. A great time to learn from others and catch trout.

The third Thursday of the month is the Club Meeting at 7.30 pm. Monthly meetings include a range of activities, guest speakers, demonstrations, some riverside events and general fellowship.

Contact Ken Grayson 14 days prior if you want to join us on a club trip so that he can include you in the accommodation plan.
